Cover Brick Fireplace With Drywall

1. Prepare the Fireplace

2. Install Furring Strips

Furring strips provide a flat base for drywall. Attach them vertically to the brick using screws or construction adhesive. Space them evenly, typically around 12-16 inches apart.

3. Attach Backer Board
